The crash test with a complete vehicle represents the completion of the verification phase during the development of a new vehicle. Due to the high effort, both material and measurement technology, the crash test is one of the most complex and expensive development tests in the field of vehicle safety.

According to the customer requirements, a wide range of test configurations is available. From the frontal impact against rigid and deformable barriers, to the side impact with a deformable barrier trolley or a rigid pole and to the rear impact and rollover tests. In addition special tests, like "car-2-car" with two moving vehicles or tests against fully instrumented barriers, are possible.

ACTS has eight different start-up crash tracks in total, which enable a variety of test configurations. The specialty of the crash test facility is, to realize "car-2-car" tests with different impact angles.

The name ACTS represents competence and years of experience in the field of crash technology.
